Paul and I will be coming - may hook up with you in Levin but may go down early if Kari needs a hand. Will let you know.

Guys, can I suggest we make a meetup at Avalon Park - the infamous "elephant pond" (the start of the Wednesday night ride) since loads of people know where it is, it has a place to park up etc? Say meet at 1PM, leave 1:15PM?

    Map attached for irony.

Edit: Can we please plan to meet 12:30 then leave at 12:45? We're going to the house (29 Longitude Place, Whitby) instead of straight to the church and need to be there 1PM-ish.

    Ride from Elephant pond

OK, so a plan for coming from the Hutt...

Meet at the elephant pond (see http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...90#post1804890) at 1PM planning to leave about 1:15. There's a servo just down the road so we can fuel up there. We'll head off, over the Heywards and down to Pauatahanui. Turn left at the roundabout - it has a weird stripey surface from memory - then take the left at James Cook drive, probably the first left we *can* take once we get to the waterfront. We follow the road up, turn right onto discovery drive, and we're there.

Are there many wanting to join this ride?

    Dave

Edit: Can we please plan to meet 12:30 then leave at 12:45? We're going to the house (Whitby) instead of straight to the church and need to be there 1PM-ish.

I will try to make it to the service (I will be in a cage).
The first time, and the only time I met Brett was at my housewarming just over a week ago. I was hoping to get to know him better, he seemed quiet, but a nice guy...

I would like to suggest that we all ride with our pillion pegs down guys & gals. I would like to think he is riding with us all and he will need to have his feet on the pegs.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

OK, I'm a definite to be there.

Can I suggest that someone that knows the route to Kari's meet up with the various crews coming down SH1 or over Haywards.

I am quite happy to ride up to the top of the Takas or head up the coast to meet up with the Kapiti crew and beyond and ride point to the house.
The crew coming over the Takas might like to join the group at the Duck Pond and ride in convoy to Kari's.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker
