Again pretty sure it's not what you can't have it's a few bits that you must have, stock frame, wheelbase etc.We need to try to find out from someone(i need some info too) :spudwhat: ...

well that was a long slow ride home.
My clutch definietly was stuffed - i sat on 80kmh all the way home, why? Because the bike was doing 11,000rpm at that speed.......
had a good time all the same. Bike feels like an auto
will plan to get there again once bike is feeling better.
Still a 14 sec with a stuffed clutch aint too bad for a first time.
    Anyhow off to sleep.
    Have a good night everyone

Speedmedic came round tonight to see my new bike before heading to the Dragwars, so I ended up going too. Had a good time watching the bikes race (eventually) and now I'm completely stuffed.

    That was a larf.

I was pretty much straight onto the track. My first 2 runs were against some dude on a Hayabusa who was posting mid 10's..not a great confidence booster. My best was a mid 11, but I know that if I knew what I was doing the bike would get into the 10's. The R1 has a very tall first gear that is a pain to get a good start with. The start is so crucial.
Highlight of the day evening without question was being told off for doing wheelstands by the track staff!! Yeh it was quite a nice one, even though I say it myself.
Second highlight was beating Death on a run. OK so my bike has an extra 250 cc over his, but what the heck it felt good.
Looking forward to seeing pictures posted by Bugjuice. Nice to meet some more of you too. Rifraf nice to meet you, hope it goes well with your new bike.

That was the most fun i've had with my clothes on in ages!!! Seriously addictive, shit this could get expensive with two of us in the same house with the same habit. I'm wrapped with my first effort, 13.0 with reaction time .54, none too shabby if i say so myself. Thanx heaps to all the kb'rs who fed me all night with encouragement and support. Oh and plenty of shit too not mentioning any names wonko. Can't wait to see the pics.

    Cheers Dudes

Wel I have in front of me a pile of paper, all of which say "WIN>>>" and point to my time First time out there, and I won the DYO class, so stoked about it. Goes to show that anyone can do it, even on older and slower machines. Best time 13.238(Dialed in 13.1), RT .540, top speed 165.73

Need to have a look(or paysomeone to) at my clutch before next time as it was slipping in 2nd and 3rd at times when I changed up. Best night out for the measy sum of $25, if you haven't tried it, then I recomend it, even if it's just for the practise runs.

Thanks to Hoon, Death Inc, and everyone else for hints, encouragement etc made it worth while.

Oh, and Draco, you are going down next time

yeh have to agree - its definitely a blast for $25 bucks.
Watch out wonko, thats were she starts - next ur gettin past by cars, looking like a postie on the way home
Yeh we need a broader range of bikes too - 250's, hell even a bucket could prob break 20sec.
right im off to go see the damage to my clutch (hopefully cable is just slack - yeah right).
Someday ill race against that formidable cbr400, draco, race number 1,2,3,4,4,4,5 - someday you'll get away with it.
    Anyhow - good fun
what time did it all end? I had to leave (i worked 2day)
