Gear Review - Quasi Leathers Road-Tested

    Hi all,
Just a quick review on the performance of my gear in yesterdays big off (I was the plonker that stuffed it up the wall heading onto the front straight at Puke yesterday - 15-11-2008)

    Gear:
    KBC Helmet
    Quasi 1-piece leathers
    Quasi spine protector
    Quasi gloves
    Sidi boots

    Result:
Bike = borked. No recovery. Engine and box might be useful, nothing else survived.
Me = sore knee and assorted other bruising, nothing serious.
Gear = Leathers have a few scrapes and a lot of blue paint (from the concrete wall). They will look a lot better when I clean the mud off them. Will use them again.

This was a pretty reasonable crash at high speed - entry speed to the front straight, no idea how fast (bike doesn't have a speedo) but >>>100km/h. Probably more like 130 - 140. The gear performed admirably and, other than the helmet, I will be using it all again.

Thanks Quasi for a quality, dependable product that does what it says on the box.

(And if anyone has a ZXR400 L model with a borked engine for sale let me know...)

Thanks mate, it's all part of the game though.

I'm looking at it as an opportunity to build another bike, but better this time!
