    Gidday Marty,
Go no further than www.zx12r.org, your wildest dreams will satisfied... Like Physco, I have to say, that the "Bus" aint a bad bike & you can't deny the fact that the things "haul - some serious arse" IMHO the "12" is just a more civilised beast
My suggestion would be to ride both of them and from there formulate your own opinion...

Should, your decision fall apon a "12" a very good freind of mine has a near "mint" Malaysian market (A-1, i.e 181 ps @ rear wheel - factory) model for sale... $14.5k o.n.o will procure it. It's only downfall, again IMHO is that it's a green one... Never did much for me that colour...

    Enjoy

    C U

FROM A WELL KNOWN WEB SITE ON THE NET.....SPORTSRIDER

KAWASAKI IS FASTER AND 100cc SMALLER IN CAPACITY...

In this dog-eat-dog world, you need 160 horsepower just to get off the porch. We unleash Kawasaki's ZX-12R and Suzuki's Hayabusa and let them play in the tall grass.

We love a challenge around here, whether it's keeping Kento in sight through a particular set of twisties or simply turning in a story on time (for a change). The proverbial gauntlet was thrown then, when our ZX-12R moaned past the radar gun at a measly 185.6 mph, and the Hayabusa-a bike we damn well know is capable of 190 mph-could only manage 183.9 mph. With a tailwind.

END OF ARGUMENT.....i HAVE HEARD A OF A HYABUSA SPEEDO BEING MILES OUT AT TOPSPEED.....Hmmmmm

181 RWHP ??? No they haven't . That is at the motor dude ! Would have to be 200HP at motor to get 180 at the wheel & no bike has that on tap yet !! Have riden both Busa & 12R . Busa handles & goes great , 12 better handling & abit better top end but not as good down low . Would go with a Busa just for the comfort & bottom end power . Still love the 03 GSXR1000

I did wounder that when I 1st red it, so I asked a mate thats up with all that kinda shit and he said it wouldent be that far off it.... but now I'm woundering if he meant RWHP or crank.
I ran his stock Busa up on a dyno and managed 164RWHP another Bussa went up after it and pulled 173RWHP it had been re tuned to a 4-1 pipe and K&N. The 12 does pump out more but how much I dont know, but after riding the 12 I mentioned earler it wasent a patch on the Busa.... this 12 had the weardest idle kinda serged +/- 1000rpm may have been the PC3.
    cheers DD

From what I've seen and understand, a stock 12 will make (on average) 2-5 hp more than a stock bus,and that's no where near 181 at the rear (sorry monsta), but will be down on torque of course . There's really not alot between the 2 bikes in performance in stock form. And it depends on what magazine you believe as to which one is faster.

Dangerous, the idle hunt is common for a 12 with a system ,especially a muzzy, but there are cures for that.
