    Two Days. Two Bins

Geez, but the old bod's a bit sore at the minute

Having done the whirly-gig splat at Mt Wellington yesterday, fate chose to 'enable' me to do a low-side at Puke, today.

Did two rounds on the Yami. WHAT A BUZZ! Then thought it was time to try out the KR150 (with reverse gear shift). I was doing fairly well for my first time out on this bike. Jesus but it's a speedy little bastard through the corners, and no slouch on the straights.

Had done about five laps and was starting to get a handle on the left-hander before Castrol except, this time my arse was on the KR while my brain (such as it is) decided to tell my left foot we were on the Yami. Boom, did the opposite shift, locked up the arse-end and low-sided.

The only damage was a munted gear-shit, which I demunted in minutes with a couple of spanners, and a few grazes on the fairings; but tore the arse out of my leathers. Thank heavens for duct-tape. :--))

So now I'm high-side/low-side blooded, and a bit sore in many places.

But what a Buzz. And I made some new friends with a common cause.

Craig Shiriffs and ? Stroud were there today.

I watched the speeds they were attaining. There is no way in the world will I ever get within a country mile of those guys, even if I had the best bike in the world.

I think it's good to know your place, but a huge pleasure to watch such skill as those two demonstrate. And when I rocked over to ask Craig a Q about wobbles, he spoke with me as biker-to-biker. Damned nice experience.

I'd respectfully suggest, if you hope to be taken seriously on here, you do a bit of research before coming onto a NZ motorcycling website and refer to one of NZs top road racers as ? Stroud.

Aha, the ever-anal-retentive Katman doing his usual sanctimonious impressions.

What is bike-racing for you, Kat? Like the Destiny Church. I can almost hear you chanting, as you stare at the pics of your heroes on your wall, 'All one God. All one God! All must know that name of the God."

To me it's just another sport in which some seriously talented men get down and dirty.

At the end of the day Craig and Andrew look much the same as most folk sitting on the dunny.

But to the Katmans of the world the Graigs and Andrews must look utterly regal.

    You need therapy,Katman.

I need more track time and more opportunities to talk with guys like Craig and Andrew, like normal people talk to normal people. Not fly-wing pluckers like you.

Having met both Craig and Andrew today, and having assessed them, I don't think they'd give a big rats arse if I couldn't remember their names.

But I should. eh? Katman. Cos they're your heroes.

    Get a life.

Well maybe they are not regal but they demand the respect of any one who understands their racing achievements.

    Obviously you do not!

Gosh, you sure seem to know his name now.

I don't have heroes - but I at least have sufficient interest to find out the names of those who rank highly in the sport you seem hell bent on immersing yourself in.

I doubt they'd give even a medium sized rats arse about your "assessments" of them.

    Are you a pom?

Muwahahahaha - self confessed fuckwit (who signs all his personal comments as fuckwit so now I'm forced to call him that!) trying to give people lessons on how to be taken seriously! :

Dude - we all think you are a joke yourself - you don't actually realise that do you? It's no wonder you sign everything fuckwit

I'd love to know who "we all" are.

I think you're becoming more and more of a minority Jim.

The man is more often than not called by the name "Stroudy" Anyway.

Why would a man be offended if he was called by the last name, I know I wouldn't be offended by anyone calling me by my last name.
