    Engineer help required

I purchased a sissy bar and back rest for my Harley Night Rod so I can attach a luggage bag for a 2 week tour of the South Island over Christmas. Installed it fine and my GF took an interest in helping. The ONE thing I let her do was to tighten a lug? that the seat clips onto. She snapped the friggen thing right off! It looks likes it's alloy so will need someone with welding gear and die's etc. Dunno, I'm ignorant with this sort of thing.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's not like the usual harley mount, a piece with a c-clip and a locating lug . Where you can buy allsorts of after market skulls etc is it. Cos they are only a few cents.

Since no-one seems to be interested in a sensible reply.....

I would need to see it to tell you what the chances of repair are.
If it's fabricated, probably no problem.
If it's cast, it will depend on the quality of the casting.
Enjoy the trip - 2 weeks is barely enough.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
