    FZR400 Parts

    Hey All

Looking for parts for and FZR400. Basically fairing and (here it comes) the magnetos and flywheel.

Hell, even a full bike for parts. Everything considered, please PM if anyone has any details

    Hey Sniper.

Have you considered ditching the 400 motor and throwing in a 600?

The FZR600 motor is easier to find, and is a straight bolt-in.

    Here's some inspiration:

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I'd go with CelticNo6 on this... FZR400 bits are rare... got a guy at work (he still has a job) whos bike lives inside his house... he has ridden it once in 6 months (when I had my zeal) and wont part with it.... didn't even wanna ride when I had my cbr400.......
    get the 6hundred... fits nice!!!!

You may be best to try some of the Australian wreckers for an FZR600 motor.

In the meantime, these guys have FZR400R parts:

Bummer, you missed out on a FZR400 1WG motor that sold for $30 on TradeMe a couple weeks ago!

Both Atomic and Action bike wreckers in Auckland have advertised that they have 1WG (1989) bits in the latest Motorcycle Trader. I once got an offer to buy an FZR600 motor from Mt. Eden Motorcycles. They were asking for $700 for the motor, rad, airbox, carbs, exhaust (the lot). Unfortunately, the gearbox was a bit dubious so I didn't bother.

One thing to watch out for with the 600 motor in the 400 frame is overheating, apparently.

This can be solved by using an R6 radiator.
