    Talking Riding with history

    Gday Dudes and Dudess's

I had the most magical Saturday, I heard a rumour that the vintage Bike Club were having a club run from Lunsden through to Arrowtown, so met them all at the Garston Pub, and oh my god, it was just so fantastic to mix it with the old bikes, all the times the bikes have been through eh......almost bought a tear to my eye actually.

Can't even tell you which was my favourite, they were all bloody marvellous.

Stood on the bar to do an announcement about the Garstonian Rally which I am organising with the Publicans Feb 20 and 21st, cracked a few jokes, and hope to get all of the dudes to the Gars Rally, how cool would that be.

God when we all left the hum and deep throaty sounds of the engines was amazing, don't make bikes and pipes like that anymore, my Tex (Bonney) was almost doing handstands of joy being surrounded by nostalgia, and we decided to ride back with the Triumphs.

The wind along the Devils Staircase was abusive to say the least, but the view which opens up as you get the first sights of Lake Wakatipu opening up is just the best, will get a good night and ride out and take some photo's as want to do a spread in the Kiwi Rider about the Garston Rally.....

Got to Frankton and had a Soft Drink (cant booze it when I ride) and then hooned it over to Arrowtown.........

Was going to go on the piss with them in the evening, but decided to go back to my neighbour's for a party and a Hungi (my first ever), got well and truly munted there, and had a fab time.

Watched a guy I was talking to glaze over when I was telling him about the day.. Honestly I can't even think of talking to a a man nowadays unless he has a bike.....they just seem so boring if they haven't got one. Yep I know I'm shallow but

One of the best thing of a day filled with lots of good stuff and smiles, was the fact I could keep up and pass a load of bikes, Tex's chest was puffed out with pride by the time we got to Arrowtown

Anyway, hope all you dudes had a great weekend, I did.........I love old bike's the sound the smell, its all good.

    Cheers for the guys............
"I'm gunna hug ya, and squeeze ya, and call ya George!" "Spread the smile and watch it come back at cha" x

Thank you to those who came to the Garstonian Rally 2009, heads up for the 2010 Rally.......

What an excellent day for you Woodybee!
After I read your commentary, I wished I was there too!
Saturday was an awesome day weather wise, a supremo day to be out and about in amongst nostelga. I bet you didnt want it to end!

Next time you HAVE to take your camera!!

Live your life in such a way,
that when your feet hit the floor in the morning,

    Satan shudders & says....'Oh shit!....she's awake!!'
