The Govt represents the people.

The oath is found in section 37 of the police act. Apparently I serve the Queen.

Are you seriously suggesting that ex-MOT cops, totally new to the Police, have beaten existing cops for promotion? Jeez, I wouldn't admit to that publicly.
How many of these 'snakes' are in positions of Inspector or higher?

Some traffic bosses are refusing to let their troops attend non traffic jobs and reaming them out if they do attend. Thats the problem that needs to be looked at and more General Duties staff too please.

This brings me back to a point I was trying to make earlier, (might have been in another thread), about the police being able to operate totaly impartialy, without any direct input from outside influences such as Govt, Govt Agencies, lobby groups, the public etc.

This is an example of how outside influences can control policing outcomes and agendas through the holy dollar.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought this was the point Alan Wilkinson was trying to make.

Can't recall him trying to make that point. If he was he wasn't very good at it.

Mostly he seems to want to prove that he can drive faster than anyone else and is safe at it. And then there is a bunch of general anti police stuff that he simply just doesn't have a solid understanding of.
