    Thanks for the heads up.

Is there a correct side of the coil to wire the Ignitec's output to? Normal negative Earth setup. There are no markings on the coil I could see so had to make a semi educated guess.

Would Wobbly, Vannik or someone with more EngMod experience know, how can I better align curves to have a good base line for optimising the engine for further tuning?

Thanks Wob. I have you email. You helped me few times allready (thanks ), but in spirit of Frits, I think it's better to ask here so others can see and also learn. And I don't want to bother you too much

Thanks Vannik, this document will be good for now. I allready reduced pipe wall temp, it helped a bit. Will try also lambda, exhaust duct temp change and efficiency. Is turbulent run needed after lambda change or can proceed with burnrate prescribed directly after change?

I lost count how many times my friends had problems with Ignitech. I went with Zeeltronic for my Cagiva Mito and freetech 50cc bike. It worked awesome on Cagiva, 50 is still not finished.
I was trying to roll exhaust on 40mm straight rollers. At the end it was easier to hammer each on piece of steel bar. And used hydroformed header pipe. Still waiting for dyno comparison with coned vs. hydroformed header.
Wob, in what units is your 3 something gas flow when TIG welding?

TeeZee , if you look down inside the coil plug holder with the two connector blades sticking up , you will see they are marked +/-

"The Good Oil" well maybe not. Shell Ultra 2 fortified oil has served us well for years but it wont mix properly with methanol and stay in suspension even with a good dose of Acetone.

Does anyone have a favorite methanol two stroke pre-mix oil preferably with Ester, and available here in New Zealand.

I use Motul Micro 2T, expensive but mixes well with E85.

Yes Castrol R40 and Shell M are great. It is what I used back in the 70's but they had a tendency to promote corrosion in the bearings even with purging.

Thanks. I have seen Motul Micro 2T from Google searches. I will give it a try, hopefully it has real anti corrosion properties and not just advertising promotional one's.

I don't know about availability in NZ but I've had good results with Maxima Castor927 and E85.

We run a mix of 80% castor and 20% Red Line synthetic in the methanol fuel for our race outboards. This mix works very well for us.

    .

    Thanks for the heads up.

Ok.... After a bit of a search, Motul are going out of the Motul micro 2T apparently. Anyway I could not find any. But I found Moto-1 stocks Maxima Caster 927 at $72/L including shipping. Expensive but I have some on the way so I can at least get started on the dyno with setting up the Kawasaki 250 post classic Road Racer.
