In the blender- '92 Guzzi & '79 Guzzi

So you get 2 bikes, one been off the road for 10+ years and looking manky, and another bike so hideous you have to remove it from the road- blend the 2 together and resist the urge to pimp, and you get something like this "Project Black Maggot" with a 1 month timeframe
(after 150 hours of swearing, cutting and fixin')
The buget was $0 and I broke it by $45 because I had to buy some oil and brake fluid.
    Rock on Westies
    Old school

Oh yeah, it is about 20kg lighter and has about 15 more HP (79@R/W) and 4 pot brakes and super light wheels, air damper forks, floating discs, straight cut box, crank fired ign, surflex clutch. And flamed of course

ARE YOU FARKING MENTAL or something

you yanked a cool old round fin out and put a 1000 in and removed the classic wheels for some jap looking 3 spoked thing in there... I love it

So the two bikes were at a guess, Mk2 with spada fairings and a Mille/mk5/cali?
But what the hell are the wheels from?
    cheers DD

Most people would not notice the differents after all it's a funny old Guzzi thing and you could talk your way around it and baffle with science.

WOF? Easy as, as lemans said they probably will not notice, for me I have 4 bikes all pretty much the same period and a plate is 2 bolts to exchange. The original bike is dead rego, for at least 10 years so a re-cert is too much hassle.

As for being man enough to own an Italion nag, don't you mean dumb enough? Thanks for being polite though

Bike will not be ready for the next BTTP ride, had no time to finish the last few loose ends. Am not sure how it will handle as the rear is a 130 (std is a 120) and I just realised that if I carry a passenger the rear wheel will rub on the seat mounts so I will cut them off and make ones that mount on the outside of the rear frame rails on the weekend. My hacksawing elbow is playing up, hence work has halted somewhat....

The end result was great, I can't get my gammy old arse off the seat, other bikes are gathering dust or being mercylessly pimped while this one stays at the front of the garage for commuting or any task, it is up for it. Even did the Blast to the Past on it and it was perfect except on the gravel, the original skinny back wheel would have cut through the loose stuff while this big hoop floated on top. Otherwise all good, no oil leaks or anything.
