Thanks Nudey - that's really nice of you to say. I have no idea whether I'm going faster or not...I just know I am faster now than I was the first time! Felt pretty fricken slow with Fishy and all the others carving me up though it's nice to not shit myself when that happens now and I even catch myself pushing for and not backing off to let people just go by when I know they aren't heaps faster.

NOt going to do A grade - still feel too slow to be getting in amongst their racing. Will be challenging myself by riding the fiddy for the 2009 season. I need to get my cornering sorted...entry speed is an issue and the grunt of the Sled has me too spoilt to get over that little mind block. Hopefully next year I'll suss that!

50's are good way of improving technique as having not so much power (block your ears, Dave ) but lighter weight you have to rely on high cornering speed to remain competitive. My first bucket (back in 1988-89) was an Yamaha RD-50. I did okay on it but had to ride the hell out of it to keep up on the tight circuits.
I've seen the way Sully60 hussles the RG around and it'll be a lot of fun out at Kaitoke.

You were awesome on Sunday babe!

You did have the most difficult job on the team (funny how I managed that)
but you toed the line with all the "big boys" and held your own.

Like you said it wasn't your fastest race but Sunday wasn't just about speed and you did a great job so all that I needed to do was get the bike to the finish, nice!

I can't thank you enough for being my perfect partner!

And the only one I could get my hands on.

    You are some hairy bloke?!?

No, good ride No1, were looking pretty styley exiting the pitside corner. Yeah 1/2 hr is a long way when you have such a tight track (when are we going to get back tot he normal more flowing tracks?, these 1st gear corners are silly). Fortunately there wasn't too much heavy braking to be done, that can be hard on the hands.

Well done out there Mrs Sully, you looked like you have got the hang of things now, and you probably should be stepping up a grade next year.

As for my day, my riding partner(Bayden) blew the bike up before I got on,Fish was very relieved!!!.
It's not that I'm wrong- It's your too dumb to understand!!!

Yeah you wouldn't have wanted to mess up your new manicure eh Dave?
At least you would have been comfortable on that scooter and you could have had your waterproofs stored under the seat just incase it rained, luxury!

How do you manage to worry about 1st gear corners on an automatic scooter I wonder.......

I was more thinking on my 50, I don't like slowing down too much or you never get going again. On the Scooter I have to say I wasn't sure how much you could lean it & didn't want to spank up a factory fresh paint job & kind of be obliged to fix it. So I employed the dirt bike approach to the hairpins. Towards the end I was pretty sure it didn't work very well.

It was very comfortable, but strangely my back was sore next couple of days.
