If you arent in our gear its not to late place your orders now lol
Ive run out of fucks to give
Quasi- I might need a new pair of knee sliders. If you have any please bring them along if you see this in time. I'm not keen on the expensive unobtanium ones though.
Other than that, the weather forecast looks shit hot. Bike's all polished with a shiny new front tyre - I even buffed the tyres with my special rubber shine compound of diesel, grease and 10/40 oil to bring up a great moist look (that's a joke by the way - just in case someone on here actually tries it!)
Looking forward to a weekend in Taupo.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Thanks Sue and the whole team for putting on the best day yet!
Biggest thanks has to go to The Fruity One for taking over my box for the last coupla sessions!![]()
Without you I wouldn't have been able to give Merkel the learn.![]()
This was the first time I've been marshalling that the recovery vehicle wasn't needed once!
So well done all the riders for allowing a smooth day. Although there were a couple of "offs" they all managed to ride off the track. I'll let them tell their stories.
Great to catch up with a few faces and meet some new ones.
And also thanks to Quasi.![]()
yeh yeh...bla bla...mint day...bla bla

Some of us well..ME and 3 others, owe the MotoTT crew a big thanks for bailing us out when we turned up with worn out brake pads.
All that hassle of hiring a trailer, driiving for 4 and 1/2 hours overnighting the family in a motel, lots of spending, new tyre, only to be rejected at scrutineering!
Must admit brake pads is something I just don't think about. Doh. Anyway the MotoTT crew shot into town and came back with a box of assorted goodies and got all 4 bikes fitted.
So remember to check your rego, wof and stuff BEFORE leaving home.
Track days are a great leveller of egos. I did 2 sessions in group 2 then decided I should move up to 1 for the next 3 sessions. There I was thinking I am a reasonably fast rider, but a track day reminds you that there are plenty of faster lads about. Kornholio and his mate Fish showed me that - good to meet you Guys. Then there was the fly-by by Shaun as I was passing a bike this flash goes between us and was gone in seconds! Impressive stuff Shaun. It just shows the difference between, what you think is a fast stock road bike, and what it can really do when properly set up and in the hands of an expert.
It was my first outing with a Conti-Race Attack Street on the front. Fantastic grip and it hasn't worn that much considering how hot it was yesterday.
That track is so tiring - but in a fun way Left, right, left, right, right, left. You seem to be forever in a turn.

Cheers Q, that was very kind of you to let us in your pit garage and thanks to the lovely Paula for drawing my name out for the FREE TRACK DAY!! Woohoo
Next time check ya brake pads fulla lol... I think there were about 4 or 5 bikes that didnt pass scrutineering because of worn brake pads... Big ups to the guy who brought the box full of new ones so they could go out and play
Yeah she was a cracker...did I mention I won a free track day![]()
Built for speed, not for comfort
Cheers again MotoTT for another really well run track day
Gotta say that the 15 minute sessions were great when trying changes on the bike ‘cos we get more of them. 20 mins gets a bit tiring too!
Ended up changing things pretty much every session, and although didn’t really get faster during the day due to lack of confidence in a shagged front tyre, I think the bike ended up better for it, still holding a nice line but now also very stable under brakes.
Thanks heaps Shaun for your advice on the day!
Good to have a bit of a dice with some of the usual suspects, Marcus, Jamie, etc.![]()
...
yup another great day, cheers MotoTT!![]()
Good day with only a couple of minor bins![]()
Toby Summers is pretty clever eh, making it look like he was riding on dirt
Had fun on a little CBR400, kept up with uncle til he warmed his tyres up even.
Thanks for the Avocados Kelly / Bret, stoked!!
Korn is looking fast, can he keep it up for 3hours?
