Another tyre to add to the list... As I guess you know, the sv650 is supposed to take a 120/60 on the front, I switched to the 70 profile because the 60 was getting to the edges before the rear tyre. I wonder if the same thing would happen with a GPR10 60 section or if they might have a steeper curve on the side? The old front tyre was a Diablo.

If you feel like changing your tyres beforehand (and get a trailer). I might be able to throw a set of used slicks your way.
Thanks for the offer. I think I might stick with what I've got for now and just try to stay within the tyre's limits and improve other aspects of my riding. My next trackday is the kiwitrackdays one on the 23rd Dec, then holidays and no trackdays until the 16th/17th january so I'll do some road rides. Maybe I'll pm you about the slicks if I get myself a van before the 16th.

Based on reputation, I reckon the GPR10s'd be the go for you. I don't think M3s would provide high enough absolute grip levels (Chris just says 'M3s!' in response to any tyre question, you know that, right? Not that they're not awesome.)

That save of the slide in T5 was mint! Lovely riding there dude.

I must say i'm actually enjoying (well i was by the 5th session) swinging the body off the bike a bit, so have done a sit up today hehe ! I recon by the next summer series i might have more than one abb ! Nah will have to do some work in the fat dept. Even did a couple of push ups on my spare bars trying to strengthen the palms up haha, yeah i know, elbows should stay bent but yrs of bourbon premixes says i'm falling on the lowwww clip ons !

New rubber and race pads should be on in the next day or so ! Will add braking markers to my list of learns for teusday, see how quick i can pull her up with the new pads ! The stock pads were blueing up my discs so they had to go !

Yeah, well. The new Scorpion pipe, and the extra three teeth in the rear will see me hoving up close to you fucking straightline knob jockeys, on the day.

I know where you both (you and Random) suck, but I have to figure out a way to get to your sucky point.

    I will. I'm a persistent little bastard. :--))))))

That would be somewhere other than where the gap between your and my lap times on track 3 was bigger than the gap between mine and Biggles08's, I'm guessing?

You're a braver man than I am. I have no plans on smack-talking Marcus any time soon.

I also suspect that a few people will be interested in Betty's dyno charts at the end of next week. Top tip: she doesn't make as much power as you think she does.

Lol havent even thought about gearing yet, thats what i have a 6 speed for haha
I have no reservations about where i will be in the field (if my licence is here by then) on the day ! Gentleman rider i am, there is no doubt !
But i'm hoping that will be well forgotten by lap 2 (one has to think positive aye) of the first race (we will see) and i've deliberately cancelled my dentist app, so if i do happen to find that bit of mongrel out there, you won't just be feeling me breathing down your neck !

Now that IS something i have thought of haha, a tiki tour through napier is def on the cards to ride the rollers in the very near future !
I hear Nigel out there is not much of a talker, but does know how to get every nag available from a Triumph !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Yeah well, that was a few track-days ago now, plus before I found how to mix nitroglycerin into my petrol. :--))

Even I'm not that brash or silly.

Hey ho, here comes the first excuse, "My 1400 delivers only 5,000 BHP! No wonder I'm going so slow!' :--))

And, I see Willie is going to start throwing his false teeth at me!

BTW: I scored a birth at the Bernard training day (at Manfield) on the 16th. That should see me shaving another 10 minutes of my lap-times. :--))
