    Midnight Taka Ride

Excuse the new thread, last one was a mix of two votes, just too confizzling...

SO, this Friday, 11 Feb. Meet at Caltex Rimutaka at 11:30 pm. Remember, it's after 10pm (licence restrictions) Leave your tinted visors at home. Ride up the hill, yarn at the top, and whatever after (probably home).

If it's raining, or if there is NO interest, it will be rescheduled to Saturday night (12 Feb). (I realise it's late, and far for some to come just for a ride up the hill, but you never know?)

    Dave.

Dave, this may now clash with Ninga51's gig at the Sandbar - which I'm going to. May not make it...

Sorry - can't make it this Fri or Sat. heh heh - You'll never guess why! ANOTHER wedding reception (and pre-wedding gals thing)!!! I've backed out of 2 or 3 other KBer gatherings for exactly the same reason! :spudwhat: :spudwhat: :spudwhat: What's going on here??? Oh the madness!
Another time I'd be keen though. Wainui Coast road might be better at night!? I can kind of imagine just cruising down there as opposed to the Rimutakas where the urge to 'boot it' is probably way too overwhelming.

Will ask VTWIN. I guess it's on if people are interested, I'm not going on my own

It is a little windy in the hutt, but no rain.
    Any takers?

    I think...

it might be best to abandon this idea? It's quite gusty, and I'm thinking it will be unpleasant at the top (the whole point of going). I guess a midnight ride will have to be one of those "spur of the moment" rides.

Thanks for all of that SC. Remember that Roosters have spurs too.

I'm in for the next ride.

I was at home ALL of Saturday if anyone asks, and I have witnesses! (no, seriously I was at home). Went out Sunday though.

If you actually DID see an R1, consider yourself lucky. Normally you just feel their presence, hear a beautiful hum and get left with a sense of longing... (ok ok ok, some people claim to have seen a red, blue or silver blurrrrrrrrrrrr)
