know how you feel mate. We got done over about a year ago even though we have an alarm. Don't keep cash or valuables in your undies draw as thats the first place they look the cops reckon, at least they showed up the same day.
Rolling stones gather no moss.
[QUOTE=dipshit;1829686]Because the criminal culture is virtually sociably acceptable in NZ and is seen as something cool. [QUOTE]
Thats only because of the apathy of those of us who haven't been done yet.
Yes and no. I've been burgled 3 times and I'm not apathetic about it, believe me. What's the alternative? 1 surveillance camera per 14 people like the UK? Some with loudspeakers attached to tell people to pick that fag wrapper up and put it in the bin?
Having a crack at the burglar then finding out 18 years down the track that if I hadn't broken his arm he probably would have killed me?
I have no quick, easy answers. But I do know that demanding "stiffer penalties" just gets people pointlessly banged up for minor mistakes, while property and violent crime continues to go unpunished.
Got some weird stuff going on at school, with some inappropriate behaviour in the playground. I'm the only parent who contacted the school and posited a strategy and offered to help. Can't get parents to turn up to a 15 minute meeting so we're all on the same page in regard to ensuring our kids know what is and isn't acceptable, or even just to let me know I'm over reacting and I need to pull my head in.
I reckon that's the root of the problem, right there. Can't fix it though because most people have justified staying out of it because 21st Century life is "busy", and it's the "school's problem". Actually, no, it's your kid touching mine with his cock and I'd like it to stop thanks.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Happened to us a few weeks ago too. The police did turn up the next day and were mostly interested in trying to find blood on broken glass for DNA samples. It wasn't kids as they didn't trash the place at least. They were mostly after money/jewellery/ipods/cameras and took a couple of unopened single malts as well as a few heirloom antiques (which really pissed me off). They did however empty just about every "top" drawer in the place, not just the undies drawer! The cop reckoned that even monitored alarms won't stop the "professionals" as they know how long it takes the security company to respond.
To top the week off somebody drove into the side of my car while it was parked and didn't leave a note. Now that sounds familiar...

I got a call from the cops last week, something to do with the samoans that knock on your door asking about cutting your trees happening to coincide with burglaries in the same area a little later. Sounds like the burglars are on a simular but later rotation. Suprise suprise.
That sucks mate, sorry for your trouble,
The cops need to pull their fucking fingers out as well, more time sorting cunts like those that robbed you and less for handing out pointless road violation tickets.
Sorry again dude, take it easy....
killa beez lookn 4 ur keez

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Kill 'em and feed 'em to pigs.
No,just feed 'em to pigs
Thanks for your offers people, but I must decline. Insurance will sort everything, luckily. Just a real inconvenience. Bah, I hate the feeling of someone marching around in your house uninvited.
Investigating monitored alarm systems, even if it just gives us peace of mind, regardless of whether or not it'll prevent a future break in.
Will be getting some security stays on the windows so they cant be opened far enough to get in.
Unfortunately no fingerprints found.
The godamn morons even left behind the good stuff. Guess they dont know what a good pearl is worth. Dumb cunts.
When we got burgled, they left behind a VCR, it was right next to the wallets etc, unplugged and ready to go...LOL
The worst for me was the thought of them in my home, that about did my head really. We were told to make visible changes to our security, so monitored alarms will show them you have done something. Good luck with your insurance mate, they are reasonable in my experience, just something you could live without. Whistle out if we can help with anything too eh!
hmm I am not sure VCR's are the top of thieves wanted list these days lol
Not worth a pinch of poop
