    RANT - Cordless phones.

    I hate the things.

Never ever able to find it.

Don't mind it as a 2nd phone so you are portable, but there should always be a corded phone as your main one.

Then again, i never answer phones either.

Also, i never understand how to use those damn new ones, do u press the talk button then dial or the other way around, i swear my one chooses which way it works at random.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

I put them back on the base after using them... that way, they're always in the same place. Smart huh?

If you think deciding to use the talk or dial first is hard, don't bother with the more useful ones. We have 3 DECT ones that can forward calls to another handset, dial other handsets in the house (for extreme laziness) be a baby monitor etc etc

Aha, so SHE did call you back at last but you are sitting there pressing all the buttons on the TV remote and retuning the satelitte.

I'm sure that you would prefer to be pushing her buttons instead

If you go to the base station and press the 'Page' button, all the remotes start ringing for you to find them.

useless if your power goes off too, they need power supply to the base set to generate the signal to the handsets.

I just go straight to my daughters room to look for the phone, it's usually there.

Don't do what my son did the other day and switch off the circuit breaker that powers the cordless phone while you're asking which circuit breaker to switch off, makes it hard to get further instructions.

Our two get hidden round the house so much I just give up, go into the office and use the good ol wired phone. Always there when I want it!

Handy things, got 3 here and they still all disappear. Teenagers. So we use the page function often. Having said that, I always keep a backup standard phone for when the power goes off.

Cordless phones are easy. Just have 3-4 of them scattered around the house.

Gave up on having a landline many years ago. I only have a cell phone these days.

I generally have my cell phone on me, so it doesn't tend to go astray (very often).
