    Ducat TL VTR hybrid?

I was looking at the price of a starter clutch on trademe that retails for $2000, and the 10,000k plus a guy has spent on his TL suspension and wheels to get it to handle better and it got me to thinking (and searching on the net).
I relise that engines are being used more and more as stressed members but would it be possible to put a VTR or TL engine in a El Duci? Might have to take a tape measure to a few bike shops....

Why? Because I like the handling package of the ducatis but I dont like italian engines so much.
After a bit of searching I found quite a few guys have put suzi motors into 916's. One company even sells a mounting kit.

I think it would be cool.

But then ya'd have to paint it blue & white.
At least there's a saving there to spend on getting pamphlets printed to hand out so that you don't have to explain yet again why you did it!

They seem to be bulletproof, but is 100hp and 103Nm of torque enough for you?
Reality is an illusion encouraged by consensus.

I like the idea of hybrids, we all have different wants and needs out of our machines, and different budgets to work from. When you see hybrids such as motocross bikes with GN400 engines, its obvious people have very different ideas on what they want. Heck I have helped with some UGLY shoe horning jobs on cages. I have seen a Truimph spitfire cage with a rotary in it and alot of rx3 and rx7's with v8's. I think the 302v8 in the starlet really took the cake though.

If you wanted to build a good handling, reliable and budget conscience bike that would be a hoot to own what would you guys put together?
