Probably because it would hardly be the riders fault (in most cases) if something went wrong with the engine on a 3 year old bike with 3500 track k's.. and then be made to pay more

'cause crash repairs can be pretty bloody expensive and you have to add that cost to the hire

which is pretty much what kept me out of getting my old NC30 on the track - needed to commute on it too so couldn't afford to crash it

no different then crashing your own bike, just dont crash.... Ride at 95% and you should never crash.

Tyres are $600 for a start!

If there was someone doing this deal in aussie id jump at the chance

    Patience Shaun...
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

Ha, when I look at what I've spent and am still spending to do the upcoming Tri-Series this is NOT expensive.....

Racing a very competitive F2 bike, with world class assistance = $1000
Not looking at your own bike after you've crashed it = priceless

Na because this is a race bike with race fairings, a bit of fibreglass is cheap...

I crashed new zx10 last week, cost me $150 if it were a road bike it would have been a write off...

you need to put more effort in then, didn't your mother tell you, if a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.

$150 is a bit expensive to repair a chipped toenail
