    Scooter advice for Hamilton

Well I've been mugged twice so work are wanting me to get some kinda of motorized conveyance for personal security. That and I'm going to be moving away from where I am now to house that's slightly farther away from work so I'll be needing a way of getting in and out quickly.

I'm looking at getting a Scooter as it seems to be cheaper and easier. I have a few questions tho :

Where do I buy it from ? I've heard 2 reports about bad things about the Hamilton Scooter Bar

If I do buy outside of Hamilton will I be able to get it serviced in Hamilton (inc. parts) ?

Which motorcycle riding Schools do you recommend ?

Am I able to sit the Basic Skills Handling Test on a scooter or will I need to do it on a motorcycle?

If I do my BSHT on a motorcycle is it easy to then transfer to riding a scooter ?

    Will I get confused ?

IE If I learn to ride on the motorcyce the riding school provides will I be completely flummoxed as to what to do when I get on a scooter ?

    Mugged
    Heck Hamilhole is getting shitty.
Any how, try the regular shops like Hamilton Honda, and Waikato Yamaha for one of their brands scooter.
Also Super cross cycles for the Hyosung scooter, Malaguiti(the Ducati of scooters, and Adley brand).
Rule 1. Do not buy the cheapest scooter. They are cheap for a reason. No back up or parts easily sourced.
Supercross work on all brands. (Even the ones other shops won't touch).
Have fun shopping, and the red ones are the fastest.

Well I haven't been able to find anything bad on The Scooter Bar in hamilton.

What do yo guys reckon about getting a back from outside Hamilton - will I be able to get servicing / parts in Hamilton ?

I ask as I'm doing some shopping online for ones and most of the websites I've run across are for ones in Auckland or Wellington.

Supercross cycles have 3 Malaguti, (Italian) scooters on special next week.
Italian flair and class for $2500 on the road. (down from $4000)

    See Michael or Jen.
