What a load of crap this is. I have talked to xtra helpdesk, Sat, Sun and tonight. I have a case number. I have also had a call from the networking people at Telecom tonight at 6pm. Spankme they do so friggen know about this, they are not interested in fixing it. One really intelligent helpdesk helper told me to take my PC into a shop to get it looked at? Seriously this was the help I was offered, even though I can access any other site, get my email etc.

I have been told tonight to email (suggest others do the same, many squeaky wheels must be responded to)

    adsl_helpdesk@telecom.co.nz

quoting my case number and attaching my trace results. Interesting I got two different results two different days. I managed to trick them into allowing a brief log on on Saturday by resetting my ip #, worked once, cant trick the sucker again. Currently using a proxy server to access.

Finally able to connect now aswell.

Spent forever over the weekend since Friday talking to Xtra people telling them it has to be a problem with them but none of them believed me!

I was even told to get a computer tech in to change settings!

Also told it had to be a problem with this site but I knew for a fact that others were able to connect.

lying b*&%$tards... I rang. I was told by the tech support that she had already had a man ring earlier with the same problem. telescum strike again.

So finally we can access the site again without a proxy server..

Yeah who knew about proxy servers eh? I was getting a little worried I was going to have to socialize and start talking to the family again myself. But I took a little apricot coloured pill and now I am feeling all better.
Besides. I can log in again
YEAH TO THE TECH SUPPORT AT KB!!!
Dont care if it was you guys who fixed it or not. But I would rather thank you than even acknowledge telescums tech support... who by the way still tell me its my parental controls on my modem... duh!!!

The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Back on now too, finally. And....I'm another one who talked to Telecom/Xtra on two separate occasions, so someone is definitely telling porkies (I've got a case number too)

I too am finally able to get on directly. I too have had long and frequent 'talks' to telecom 'help'. Got a case number as well.
Have plugged in my old computer (to my router) as my main one is in the shop with a nasty virus....something called VirusScan2009 ??
Still, it is the router that holds the IP addy so that shouldn't be why I am able to hookup.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
