It was a SUPER SMOOTH ride....

I find the helmet shudder from the wind resistance a tad strong when trying to see the upcoming braking point. Awesome acceleration when giving it a real go.

I've stumbled on this thread a little late evidently but , I must say I have'nt seen 290 yet on my 8 week old baby . The things you do to get out of the kitchen while she's cooking the dinner haha. Guess it's better than surfing the Porn channels I guess ( or healthier ? )

Probably not as much fun though, here's a pic of my '09 and hope you like.....

absolutely no point making go that fast though. Had a very close friend take it to 343 on the gps (screen shot to come) but 320 was my limit and when tunnel vision hits and the road is a blur, well thats fast enough i think.
we're still waiting for that screen shot.......

Thanks mate and nice to have both in my shed but, I'm not sure how my big KX would go geared for 200 mph haha ...

Hahaha...well I can tell you how a KX500 geared for 180kph feels. They'll still wheelstand off the throttle in 3rd.

    my take on the busa...
i dont own one, so in that repspect im not biased, but im not a big sports bike fan either
i borrowed 1 from a mate in the uk who funnily enough has 2 of them... fkw,
i had it just shy of a week, where apon i did a daily commute into Edinburgh city center from about 6 miles out,

the commute.... i found it cramped (im 6'4") and the low end torque leaving a bit to be desired, it was lumpy off the gas but when the power kicked in you could get to just shy of 100mph (160kmh) before you had to change in to 2nd gear....... clearly not the ideal commuter

any way did a couple of rides to glasgow and back to catch up with mates, thankfully they don't have police patrolling the motorways and instead rely on speed cameras and average distance cameras (take a photo at 1 point and 2 or 3 miles down the road take another photo and work out your av speed) thankfully the cameras are only measured per lane, so if you change lane then you miss out on the fine

the open road..... well she was damn fast i managed 180mph on the clocks but there was still alot more to go,
wind blast wasn't too bad, but i found it a bit tough on the wrists, and after an hour long ride found that i was very stiff (not quite comparable to the zx7r mobile torture rack) but still a bit on the uncomfy side for my liking.

the twisties,.... pretty surprised how good it actually was, felt pretty planted and went round corners without having to convince it too much,

the look.... well thats a debate that could last till the end of time, ..... if i owned one, id be fightering it straight away, not my cup of tea
    at all

overall.. not for every one. certainly not for me, but if impressive numbers are your thing and you could bare looking at it each day then a fantastic bit of kit

Good call mate and, at 6' 4 I'm surprised you you'e not having problems with leg cramps on the big Busa....as I have at only 5'10. Never a problem with the wrists though and hmmm. What model 'Busa were you riding and, what is your normal ride ??

Take it easy and .......keep tuned, M

    I'm also 5' 10", and I love Busa's full stop. A to B, they're the fastest weapon I've ever used.

Nice. I find the Busa great for both the short social rides and the long haul rides up and down the Island. Awesome power, smooth and great looks. I haven't met anyone yet who didn't like the look of my Busa.

Reminds me, I need to bring mine in for its service soon!
