... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
Ha man thats hilarious
The few times Ive been on a scooter Ive worn all the gear but saying that the only reason I was on a scooter was to ride around a go kart track at full speed with 9 others, everyone crashed at least once
But anyway most people that use a scooter just use them for convenience so all the safety gear would make it more of an effort so they cant see the point of it, well thats my theory anyway

Many years before we started road riding.....
We used to go camping a few times each summer and had a couple of old FA50 scooters that we used to take along. We were at a reserve out in the back blocks and there were lots of roads to explore (which we now do on our "proper" bikes).
Our riding attire consisted of shorts, t-shirt, shoes (coz kick start otherwise probably would have been jandals) and a cap (to keep nose from getting sunburnt). So not even a helmet, and no gloves.
We'd venture as far as the fuel range allowed - maybe 50kms at a time.
I cringe now when I think if it....
Although it was heaps of fun
Some days you are the bug, some days you are the windshield
needs to be some more education about how dangerous riding scooters can be....I blame the Italians (Glamor Freaks) LOL anyway I suppose if we saw someone in a rossi once piece fully loaded, we'd probably laff just as hard...SO I suppose we've got to cut the scooter rider a little slack aye![]()
I ask for nothing but to ride where ever the road calls
i fail to see the problem really... when i first started riding (late 70's on the street). we didnt have helmet laws (in th USA).. i once went from Philadelphia to Miami wearing jeans, a t-shirt and sunnies. ...hiway speeds of over 70 mph for most of the run..
this is really the first time ive ever owned a helmet..ive ridden Vmax's at high speed..1100 Katanas, ZX1100's, HD's, etc...all with only eye protection...
ya pays ya money.. ya takes ya chances..
