I just fail to understand the mentality of anyone who deliberately harms an animal like this. I saw the story about the goat that was attacked (one of the main reasons I'd never want to have an animal tethered by the roadside) and thought that was bad enough, but running a young cat over like this appalled me. I raise money for a local animal rescue shelter (if you want to bid on my fund raising auction, it's Trade Me auction number 191519859!) but could never work there as I'd be too upset hearing about the horror stories of abuse.
I hope they find the little fuckers who were involved in both these incidents and beat the crap out of them. If they go to court they end up being given a pathetic little fine, if anything, so a beating would be preferable.
