    They've ruined my play area

Went on the Wellington Cruisey ride tonight. Headed my normal way along SH1 to Paramata. Turned onto SH58 to see ....shock....horror....

The B'stards have gone and put a double yellow line the complete length of the road from Paramata roundabout to Pauatahanui roundabout.
Now you get stuck behind the cages while they negotiate their way around all of the pedal pushers.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Hmmm. Noticed the same. That's my communting route.

However, they don't have anyone currently enforcing the double yellow.

And pssst don't tell anyone but there's a pretty damn good ride on the other side of the inlet with hardly any double yellows.

I'm picking Grays Rd will see a lot more action this summer. It only adds five minutes to the trip but damn I feel a lot better afterwards.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yeah! but I like to go from the carpark at the Whitby side, around to Camborne and back again.

pssst. I don't think it will be long before they do the same on the 'fun' side.

Do these lines mark some invisible force field or barrier?

Yeah just got back from trips away and came home around there on Tuesday night and thought WTF what a waste of paint. So the policies of control freak governments continue - stay in line, do what you're told, its not safe to pass.
    Cheers
