I saw a piece on the net about Havelock getting petrol again, the station is going to have one of those self service eftpos things that is supposed to be 24 hour.

Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
Mangatawhiri is open 24 hours, but its an EFTPOS and Credit Card one, unmanned during the graveyard shift.

OK, that was pulled from the Gull website. I have hidden the entry for now, if someone can confirm whether or not it is available? Even if it is eftpos/credit card only at night, or something like that, the aim is that at least people can get gas.
Sorry Steve... people were debating, so I went and made sure... but just think, you knew from the very startOriginally Posted by Crazy Steve

Thanks imne1, yours have been added.
I've also worked on the excel sheet, adding in Shell. There are some BP, Mobil, Pak 'n Save, but that is a work in progress. Next is tackling the posts, to make sure those are present in the sheet.
Currently 260 stations are listed, please feel free to run through it, and check. Its been quite hard adding them, as the excel file and the website on shell don't match, stations exist but the shell website doesn't show them etc, so its possible there are errors on this list, but hopefully over time it will become more accurate.

Mobil and BP both on Rangitiki street in Palmerston North and close to one another are both 24hr, BP is also a Wild Bean Cafe. As you come into Palmy on SH3 and go over the ramp you can't miss them.
The BP is better as it has digital gauge for the air so you get the exact amount of air your tyres need. Don't get air from any Caltex station here as they're way out.

Thanks Elysium, I've added the BP and Mobil Stations to the sheet and posts (inc address), but I haven't gone into detail re air.

this is a shit gas station. unhelpful staff, big potholes in the forecourt, exposed, and limited selection of fuel. the caltex 200m up the road is much better - i often fill there and don't even have to take my helmet off.
my pick is the Shell opposite KFC in Cambridge ( 37°53'29.40"S 175°28'01.67"E). The Challenge in CB is better, but not 24hr.
When you say limited fuel, could you clarify? This could be a factor. Similar to my listing of Force 10 on relevant gull sites, as some bikes will not like force 10. Some people's bikes would need certain fuels, ie, if the station only has 91, I would make a note of that.
Shell Cambridge is listed...
