Hey there Dudes and Dudess's,
I couldn't find the original thread on this perhaps there wasn't one with the discussions going about about Teviot v Beaumont......so read on McDuff
Anyway, as planned I left work at 430 and for once there was no wind, the sunwas out, it was warm, then as the hour ticked past the sky started to change to vivid tangerine pink with oranges clouds, wow it was specacular, and the trees, shedding their leaves, there was yellow confetti everywhere, don't think I have ever experienced riding in the autumn in NZ like this Autumn,
Saw one of the dudes fron QT head up earlier on that day, and knew there was another guy about half hour behind me, so fuelled up with petrol and beer in Alex, then chased the sky till it started to go dark until someone had pulled the curtains on the beautiful sky and made it black, and shit did it get black quickly.
I really hate riding in the dark, and the temperate plummeted to really bloody cold, but no rain or wind still so bearable.......even my teetch were cold
Flew past Teviot and was tempted to stop with the draw of the drum fire out the front, but had to keep moving and eventually got to Beaumont, through the tossers of oncoming cars who kept the blinding main beams on......you arseholes!!!
Friday night saw a few of us bers there, and a few locals, so we knocked back the beer, put some bad tunes on the Jukebox, then the Karaoke arrived.....fuck it was funny.......i love karaoke,,,,,,,always always fun.
Anyway dont even know what time I went to beddybyes that night, and didn't wake up till 1130......wow much have needed the lie in I guess.
Everyone had buggered off on rides, I as normal couldnt be flagged so I plonked myself out the front with a jug of beer and watched the bikers rolling in, blimey it was so warm. Chrissy and Tom got there, as did Claire and Bob,
Glennys and Danny........mixed reports of the politics of the rallies, but still reckon, they ould have worked together and had 2 rallies...............there is enough of a gap and the weekends have had great weather lately.............perhaps they will work out something next year eh.
Once the sun we in, eveyone disappeared round the back, the band did a sound check and sounded dire, but were actually really good when they got crankin........Even got the Best overall bike, much to the horror of some miserable man from Invers......who had a few choice words to me, so I threw a few bloody words back to him and told him to wind his neck in....what a retard.............................
Tasted some home brew brandy, and some nasty tasting pernod shyte........and back on the beers, had a dance several times, then got tangled up literally with Anthony, Q, and Dale......see the photos that Q is going to post,,,,,hilarious.
Think by all accounts, got to bed about 3, and felt like holly hell the next day......the ride home as normal was hell, and the corners freacked me out, dut to the hangover............but it was grfeat to ride with Q, Ant and my mates Brian from QT....w.ehad lunch in Alex and did our farewells.
Got home and went straight to bed for a monster sleep.........
Eh voila, a fab run rally well done, Paul and Team at the Beaumont, it was great...................
Each rally has left me sadder riding back though as made some real good friends through you dudes, and hate saying goodbye, perhaps thats why I lounge in bed till folks have gone generally...........
Anyway, thats all for now, so all you KBers have a fantastic week, hope it's a good one for yees.....................and roll on the Brass Chimpanzee............................and stay safe and always, always have fun
