Like the title says, what is the strangest thing you have found people have left behind?

I went out this afternoon for a smoke break from work. Walked down to the bench seat overlooking the childrens playground by the river and low and behold spy a pair of crutches laying there. Look around for the owner, cant spot anyone limping, hopping or even crawling around. Ask the parents in the playground if they saw anyone who might belong to them, no was the answer.

Cant leave them there for someone to steal (again?) so take them back to the I-site where I am working. Ring local Police station to let them know we had them should someone crawl in looking for them. But how weird, a pair of crutches, abandoned.
