Creepy Santa on Queen St

I remember how Christmas wasn't so obviously commercial. I remember the Salvation Amy Band walking around our neighborhood singing carols. I remember going to my fathers company Christmas party when it was about kids. The company gave presents away to everybody.

Im with you., some of my best memories of Christmas as a kid,are the local santa parade,the sallies coming around on the back of a truck,they would play any carol you would request and dad's company christmas party.

My own kids have similar memories but these days santa can no longer throw lollies out,clowns are not allowed to interact with anyone incase they take offence and in some organisations Christmas celerbrations are being seen as offensive to other ethnic goups.

i say bring back old fashioned value's of peace and good will to all at this time of year.

I remember the big santa used to be on manukau city shopping centre back in the day!

I think the big santa should be retired & a new one comissioned. He is & does look really old. They should light up queen st with lots of xmas lights n stick a new santa up
