XYT Brake Pads - Anyone know about them?

They're ridiculously cheap compared to EBCs or Ferodos. Enough to make me suspicious. I can't seem to find anything on the 'net about them.

Does anyone have anything to report about them?

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

They look like cheap and nasty Chinese/Taiwanese pads which I've seen under a number of assorted brand names, this guy here didn't seem to impressed with them:

Personally I would opt for a known brand that is available locally, it's not like you are replacing them every week (ARE YOU??! lol) so the expense of good pads is spread over a reasonable amount of time, and given what they do I wouldn't want to trust my life to some compressed Chinese cardboard...

    Exactly what I was thinking.

I got a good deal a couple of years ago on some Goldfren ones and I've never really been happy with them. They stick in the calipers a bit, and have a touch of a shudder. And when it rains, they just don't work until they do - and then they lock the wheel.

I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy some decent ones this time I reckon. And clean/rebuild the calipers properly too.

Yeah, I know a lot of people on here think cheap is great and name brands are rip offs etc etc
BUT I still think that a name brand (especially one that has sustained that name for many years) only gets and retains that name by selling good product, despite what the nay sayers might think.
When it comes to vital stuff like brakes, batteries, chains & tyres I prefer to stick with the well known stuff - at least you know what you are buying and the quality is generally consistent. Any problems and at least you have some sort of comeback when there is a clear dealer/distributor/manufacturer trail.
