And, in answer to MikeL's point, once again, the actual storage of data on Sony MemorySticks is identical to SD, MMC, CompactFlash and all the rest of them. They're just front ends for Toshiba or Samsung NAND flash chips. It's only the interface logic and plastic housing that changes.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony used the better-specced flash chips, etc. A lot of the SD/MMC manufacturers are of the dodgy Taiwanese street-corner type.
