SP - What will you roll out next?
My "sporting declaration" comment was referring to time, rather than wickets down. Many Captains would try and bat on into the fifth day, knowing that once play had started, the playing conditions would require 10 or 15 overs to be lost on a change of innings. Pietersons declaration gave India a full days play (90 overs) to chase...
Like anybody takes Ian Chapple seriously.
In St Ricky of the Launnie do we trust.
Yeah.....but Border....
Dean Jones (I think) tells a great storey of walking in to bat on a 40C day in India when the Aussies were trying to save a test.
Jones made a comment to Border (who was at the other end) about how bloody oppressive it was, how rotten he was feeling and how he didn't want to be there....to which Border replied....."well go back and send out a real Australian".
St Punter of the Duck.
Bye bye Hayden.
