They are calling it freedom of expression. So on that basis 'throwing ' bullets is also 'freedom of expression.'

How about the banning of tweezers on international flights? Fuck me! If someone is smart enough to hold up a plane with a pair of tweezers they bloody well deserve the aircraft!!!

The Iraqi isn't in jail, he's a hero all over the Middle East.

The irony is lost on the whole lot of them, as they celebrate him and how much they hate the West and Christians, that if he had thrown his shoes at Saddam Hussain he would probably have been fed feet first, still alive, through a log-shredder. A favourite act of his son Uday.

So it's a great day for Iraq that he can throw his shoes with impunity at GWB.

I heard some garbage-mouthed Iraqi Muslim quoted on Radio Live today about what a bastard Bush is and how it was a great thing to have happened.

My response to him would be a very firm "GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM THEN" and "WHY ARE YOU HERE?"

In fact I know why he's here but that's a subject for a whole new thread.

I had not thought of it like that - "So it's a great day for Iraq that he can throw his shoes with impunity at GWB." - That puts a lot into perspective.

Yeah, I have some inkling of what it was like. I used to work with an Iraqui, and talked to him quite a bit at the time the US was 'liberating' Iraq. Very instructive.

It's really easy to hate GWB and the USA.

I don't hate the USA, for all of their faults they are a beacon of light in a pretty grim world.

And don't forget your history, if you ever learned any at all. If those GI's, Marines, Navy boys and aviators hadn't come down here to the South Pacific in 1943 we would in all probability be speaking Japanese and would also be slaves to them.

Would you rather live in a democracy or a Muslim, jihardist, medieval, tribal, West hating dictatorship? Where you and your family can just dissapear at any time after a knock on your door in the early hours?
