    Race looms

Dont quote me on this but Im pretty sure that the rule that says you can have an add on black box and loom covers having a kit loom, as changing to a kit ECU wont work with a standard loom.
There is one very easy way of finding info, ring MNZ. When I have wanted clarification on a rule queery they have e-mailed me back the answer so it is officialy on paper.
Believe me, there is a lot of top riders/teams that would rather run a stock harness.

Ohlins top caps were absolutely not used before they were allowed and you may care to retract your inference. WP caps were used by Ray before they were allowed but as they in themselves added no performance advantage we accepted it and had the rules changed accordingly. That saved a lot of pointless time and machining to adapt standard top caps.
And why single Ohlins out, given that there are several brands......

Not defensisve at all, just curious as to where you come up with this stuff?

And to bring a known brand into it, suggestion that it was involved in bending the rules, is not a very nice thing to do

Come tell me the whole story next time we are at a trackday together

Anyways, Shaun are you talking to Paul about the whole loom thing?
Also Just out of curiosity, do the Triumphs run an A/M loom for their ECU? Pretty much all the jap stuff can, I know for fact that honda can't run the race ECU without at least altering the std loom.

When the new Moto 2 championship is in place will we see the return of equivalent classes in countries around the world I wonder....?

All the talk of after market this and that will be long gone if the class does emerge.....

I quite fancy a prototype 150BHP+ 600cc bike with the best that Ohlins/WP or Showa can produce bolted in place.
The older i get the faster i used to be.......

Reading the various reports on the web it looks like they are going to be less powerful than the current supersport 600's (the are reported at 140hp) but be roughly 30kg lighter. Yes, wonder if honda may produce something analogous to the rs125/250.
