Are they as bullet proof as the 600? Claimed power is up 10-12 hp on the 600 (when derestricted)? Any input would be appreciated as long as its constructive.

    Cheers

Its a done deal, I'm the owner of a 2000 XR650R and love the thing, if the front door was bigger I'd be sleeping with it. Sorry guys its going to be motarded but will defently be doing adventure rides too.

For now I need to stop doing wheelies everywhere, but with that much torque how can you not!!!!!!

Looking good Deano! I wondered what the stock tank would look like with the new graphics - very hot! New plate and everything!

yep getting there, i only tidied up the rough bits with a spray can, was looking at full strip down and powder coat but all funds going into motor now....
most likely leave the little tank on(easy wheelies) and just chuck the big tank on for the longer rides.

Great Bikes! I had a '02 model in the states.. Rode the TransAm Trail on the beast.. I could have not picked a better bike for that ride.....

    Really miss mine...

But, the KLR is much, much better on the road!
