Got three XRR's so far this year. Four if Cynna brings his. Missing Casualty and possibly the guy from Ashburton (or was it Timaru) but he could have also changed bikes.

hi there , while im away on holiday with the family , i have had a look at a bike that has been looming around for sale for ages , Its a uk based 05 XR650l i'm told is the power plant and it seriously lacking some grunt , to the stage that i walked away from it . to go do some recherche on it( gooogle) , i had the ready s in the pocket, but i recon it had the power of a dr250, the bike felt tight with 8500km that looked to be genuine. I know you can de cock them and loose the pipes to something free flowing , but fu-k me i could only launch the front wheel in 1st pulling on the bars like hell. and it was only about 30-60 cm for a short time.

Yeah I've ridden one too . must have heavier flywheel and be de tuned. my old 1999 xr600r was way more potent.

like TRIBOY sez "hate the carb"

big difference between the CV XRL and the Slide XR600r even with standard XRL's the XR6 feels way more responsive.
There might be some heavier restrictions on the bike been a uk model, i think the XRR had like a restictor in the inlet boot or somethink like that + the smog kit junk - like cruza said "detuned"
Triboys XRL pulls well for stock but the XRR's pull better

plug and play mukuni and a megacycle cam with decork and she'll pull like a school boy, but then thats a few$$$

nice looking bike though, those forks and rims would look grouse on my XR6
