I had one while in AU, wish I could have brought it back with me. Might get another one day when I get organized again.

Wow, these 24.5L tanks are HUGE !
Beautifully made though, I must say.
(..not sure how to mount it...?)
damn that is big
should get decent range out of that. my aftermarket tank is only 16 l and good for less then 200k. better then the original 10 lite tho
is that a vapour speedo fitted? is it wired up as rev counter and to the radiator for the water temp etc? would you recommend it - i was thinking of getting one but i think i would have to let the experts fit it
Thought I'd chime in after reading this thread for while. Got me an Xr 650R about 7 months back, after two years riding my old Xr 500 over here in France. The riding here is mostly rocky trails in woods with abit of fast country lanes. It can get abit tight at times. The 650 is like a tractor!! Put a new tire on it after riding all winter slipping all over the place and wow!! what a difference. Infact the beast gets me out of more trouble then it gets me into. A bit of a step in the trail or a bit of a dip with a flick of the throttle and its all behind you. Good fun the big bores. Hoping maybe soon to get some rims with road tyres give give it bash on the road. Dunno yet.
Heres a pic
I FEEL THE NEED, THE NEED FOR SPEED

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
Have any one else had problems with wof? Last year everything was OK, but now they have some new rules and my XR was way too loud.
Muffler end is uncorked and I'm trying to get the "corked" pipe end from Honda. If any one have one of these parts lying around, I would be more than happy to borrow one for the WOF...
Is it just this one wof-station or are they all as strict as this one?
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time
OK, have to get bike under 97dB some how.
Is there anywhere info how the noise measurement should be done? Wof-guy was holding the sound meter about 40 cm from the pipe, usually I have seen measurements taken from 1 meter.
It might be difficult to get bike quiet enough even with original pipe end...maybe I have to buy pipe like one below!
depends where you go for the wof some places are stricter then others. i never had any trouble with getting a wof for my harley with drag pipes. the same place also gives my uncorked xr wof as well
now it will be on the computer that you failed the noise test so you cant really get somewhere else to pass it so easily. maybe ask on the main forum for some suggestions?
i would take it to another shop and ask if they would pass it being that loud. if so pay for another wof and get it done there
