    w650 fan

Hi all, I have been riding for a few years on a few different bikes, and have just brought my 2nd new bike. It's a w650, brand new on 2nd jan this year, and up till a couple of weeks ago I have averaged 800 k's a week, it now has 9,600 on the clock.
I'm getting "her in doors" into bikes too. she has a GN250 and just got her restricted 3 weeks ago. We are going to havlock north in 2nd week of march, so she will have some good experience by the time she gets back.
Love this site, just found it a couple of weeks ago, and have learned alot from it. Keep up the good work.

    Anti fogging

Thanks for the welcome. I was reading on the site somewhere people were wondering where to get pinlock anti fogging system. If you go to to their website you will see there is a dealer in Tauraunga. The recommended retail price is $20-25. The local bikeshop has a product called "fog city", and that sells for around $30. the guys there recommend it.

    Hi,

Better hurry up and buy the next W650. Kawasaki have stopped production and you may not be able to buy new any more.
    Cheers,

Hi and welcome. I have a Kawasaki BJ250, the smaller sibling of the W650. These were never brought into NZ by Kawasaki but there are a few grey imports around. Mine came via Germany and is beautiful in my humble opinion! Can't remember how to attach a photo but check out my profile and you will see a photo of "Hubert".

    Happy riding

Busy Busy with kids, work, renovating and life generally.

I still get over the Rimutakas regularly, but I always seem to have other commitments when the organised rides are on.

    See you around

Sweet bike! Love the W650, and I saw one of these Estrellas in Mt Eden motorcycles today while I was there. The price made my jaw drop a bit though -- as much as those ridiculously overpriced CBR250s and ZXR250s. Although this is far cooler than both.

Love the pea-shooter silencer. Would've loved to hear it running, see if it sounds like the old British 250 singles the engine looks like.

Don't crash it. I don't give a shit about you, but I want as many Estrellas as possible in the market when I get some money to buy one

Yes pricey indeed, (just checked it out on line).

Nice bike though, although it only has a drum brake on the back (like the W650). The Estrellas are still manufactured in Japan so plenty of spares etc. I would like the bench seat as most if the time I just have the single on with a little carrier, photo attached.

In Japan they also manufacture a W400, I have attached a couple of photos.

Hi all. I would like this thread to start up again if there is any interest. Why? because I just brought a W650 and until this week knew nothing about them.

I have just purchased a 2006 Kawasaki W650 and love it. Its a back to basics bugs in your teeth bike. So are there many of these out there and does anyone wish to talk about them???
