They have found a way to make it even more boring,if the pace wasnt slow enough when they are playing we can now spend 1/2 an hour watching nothing whilst the 3rd umpire watches re run after re run.

I notice that Riggor is becoming as adept at stating the patently obvious as Ian Chapple.

Imagine the team that has the most runs winning - get out.

If Flynn was given to that decision on Thurs (which he was) then I can't see the problem with Ramdins dismissal.

Hopefully we can get them in the next 30 runs or so and get a lead of approx 300 by stumps. Wonder if vettori would set them that in one day? Might be out of our hands though, forecast isn't too good for tomorrow. Shame that, I'm off to Dunedin for the day...

Still, gives you an appreciation of the skill required to get the decision right in the fraction of a second the on field umpire has. They get all those replays and still can't make up their mind.

If they can't make the decision QUICK, then hand the decision making back to the on field ump and lets get on with it.

good idea but could you imagine the cries of foul play and accusations that the judges were too stupid to decide quickly.

especially if ricky stuart starts coaching cricket....

HAHAH that would liven things up for sure.
I am one of the few that enjoy test cricket. I could genuinely sit down and watch all five days. Of course being a watcher of the NZ team you rarely see past day three.

Problem is with humans we will always make mistakes. The technology might reduce them somewhat but there will still be mistakes. So for me, I would be just as happy relying on the umpire. It is usually balances out in the long run I would say.
