Yea I have to 2nd that.... there was a lot of unnecessary passing on the ride which started to wear on my nerves. Especially on the corners.

I'm not referring to the Qk's and Duc's, they were moving ahead of the group and actually had the gas to get past, but on more than 1 occasion when I was happily sitting 1 or 2 behind the leader I'd get forced to the outside of my lane by someone trying to pass on a blind corner without the gas to do so... and for what? Because they didn't approve of my safe spacing? Or just so they could sit 1 spot further up the pack

It's a group ride, we ride as a group, it's not a ride to show or try and prove something. That's why I enjoy Toto's 250 rides.

Sorry to add a negative post after such a great ride, but it seems I wasn't the only victim of such annoying maneouvers and it's somthing I'd like to avoid on future rides.

Im glad something has been said, as I always get scared when i see someone riding outside of their limits or just being stupid. DOn't feel bad about making note of it, or else something will happen on the next ride and you would regret not having said anything

geez.... wouldn't leave it too long, especially not couped up in a garage in the temps we have been having! And leathers and helmet?
I can understand that you are putting it off... as i am putting off cleaning apartment etc by being on here... but that is one thing i would not prolong for too long!

I'll admit some of my passing could have come accross as a bit agessive, but I always planned it out and never did it If I thought I was going to hold up the person I was passing. and I hope that if I do get a bit carryed away that someone will let me know. I have no issue if they are actully going to go faster, but that guy did when it was just me and him, with nothing to gain, except having me be slaming on the brakes to avoid him.

The leathers and helmet are done. all the bike needs is a hose and a hug.

Good ride (what I did of it anyway).

No serious damage to me - fractured right wrist (now in a cast after 14 hours at A&E ) and a bruised left shoulder & ribs & a few minor abrasions. Strangely, I'm actually a lot less achy today than I was yesterday.

What happened: I was on the brakes setting up for the next left hander and hit that nasty bump and locked the front, putting it down the road on the left side. About 6 tumbles of me down the road first onto my left shoulder. Bike ended up on the grassy mud on the other side of the road (luckily no oncoming cars) at the bend. Must have slid a good 40m - quite a long way for 50km/h...

I strangely enjoyed the challenge of the ride home, to a degree.

It worked well indeed - I knew I'd need them for something other than re-attaching Crazy Steve's number plate one day!

    Bah! That shit'll buff out!
The thumb is fine - my ring finger is swollen and sore but that'll probably be fine inside a week.

Huge thanks to Trump Lady for the escort back through Waipoa to Brynderwyn & Crazy Steve & Din Pelenda for sticking with me down SH16 all the way home. I couldn't have done it without you guys - I couldn't even put my helmet or gloves on unassisted! Damn, that rain stings without a visor!
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

Then you surley won't have a problem.....
