Xmas - good and bad times

Good times-enjoying it with family, kids etc, presents don't require or want hehe.

Bad times-knowing a mum in law is going to struggle to see the year out maybe. Not good when you are told she may not see 4 weeks at most, and suddenly everything is in perspective.
Thank god we saw her yesterday and she was aware, alert and unaware of the news about to hit the family today, something we had an idea of from being up front with the docs,i.e ask if it is secondary cancer etc, told pretty much so but scans today will confirm.Pretty fucken hard being the other side so to speak comfort wise, what to say etc.

All of a sudden the pressies under the tree seem mindless crap in the real thing of life.Bloody tough lady who would do anything to help people, pretty hard to watch a mother tell her kids their nana is critical by phone.

So as the saying goes Merry Xmas fellow peeps and hopefully you are bereft of any bad news, life goes on but you have to wonder about timing.

Sorry to hear that. And yes stuff like that can definitely put things into perspective, and people worrying about how their rellies only got them socks or undies for x-mas suddenly seems so vain, right?
