I'm not a gynaecologist but I can took a look for ya
The Abel Tasman National Park has been a marine reserve for several years now & apparently the fishing has picked up a lot!My little fella goes out quite often over that way with his dad, so I will ask him & get back to ya.

Some options for ya..
In Kaiteri itself, you can go off the rocks below the old Maori Pa.. walking distance from the camp, ya can't miss it.
Off Kina Beach (turn off at the Tasman Store.. not far from Motueka, on the Coastal Highway heading towards Nelson). Great place to go for the avo & have a picnic & play ball etc!
The Marine Reserve starts at Anchorage up the Abel Tasman, but doesn't sound like it is that great fishing from the beach... really need a boat for that.
The Mapua & Motueka Wharf's.
All of the spots, get there an hour'ish before the incoming tide
Hope this helps!
Jen
PS: I'm in Richmond, if ya's want a coffee or need a hand with anything![]()
