Getting a bit hot for my daily commute in leathers. Thinking about some Kevlar jeans for those short summer rides.
Anyone know retailers that have any offers, specials etc on these at the minute?? Churs

PM me with your size and what style you are looking for .Mike
Having seen the gear discussions on these forums ... yes. I picked up my starter gear from the guy running Life Style Imports. After reading all those discussions here I was looking for a few key points and then went and had a look with a checklist of things to check.
He runs the business from his farm out near Mercer (Part of why the overhead is so low?) and he has a very wide range. Personally I think it is best not to buy off the website, but to actually go there and check it out. Try the gear on and verify all aspects of it. Check the stitching, check the safety labels and make sure it'll ... I'm lecturing, aren't I? My bad, sorry.
His prices were what I would call reasonable, but be aware that you essentially get what you pay for. I'd prefer a set of Quasimoto leathers, but until I've saved up for that these have to do. Maybe in February or March I'll be able to pick up a set from him.
Anyway, you can find his jeans here. Well. Maybe not his. The ones he sells.
Bought my boots off him(lifestyle imports),good fit size wise and value plus so far.
Hello officer put it on my tab
Don't steal the government hates competition.
You can buy those road bike pants, the one with knee pads.
I was in cycle treads in Takapuna today. They are having a big sale on jackets and pants. $99.99 each.
Just forked out $350 on tyres for the bike. Bit hard so close to Christmas.
If you are behind me
Dont ask as I am lost too.
Yamaha & Kawasaki dealerships in Springwood Brisbane have $99 special on Hornee Kevlar Jean atm. Freight is about $20NZD to Auckland. The two dealerships are merging and are selling all they can before they move to the new building, loads of good deals to be had on heaps of gear
bought a pair from a guy on trademe - madmax5 - look at his listings.
he is also running lifestyle-iports.co.nz (but they are more expensive there)
the kevlars are unbranded - therefore cheaper - from memory 160bux.
they have heaps of kevlar in them and also integrated but removable knee pads.
Have had 3 offs in them -two minor slips and one medium one - 65km/h - not a scratch on me and only a small tiny rip in the jeans. recommend them highly.
edit: just read some of the posts ...
this is exactly what I'm referring to.
My Girlfriend brought a pair of Draggin Jeans brandnew from MotoMail this time last year....$89...And I got a pair for $129 brandnew from the same shop....
Makes you wonder why the shops say the retail price is $250-$270 ? ?
Awesome deal, Thanks again MotoMail....
Crazy Steve....
I bought a pair of camo draggins off trade me. Brand new from a dealer in Wanganui, for $179.00. Retail on the tag when arrived was $269.00. Worth a look I think.

I got some Icon kevlar jeans for a bit over a hundred bucks off US Ebay.
But the exchange rate would make them more like about $160 now.![]()
I brought some kevlar jeans $150 from lifestyle imports (motorcycle gear )
email..rick@lifestyle-imports.co.nz
They are in Franklin.
They are comfortable and have kevlar around your backside and downside of leg and knees with removable knee armor.
