I have the 'Pool Room' Special Edition DVD.

It has Son of Coco's pedigree and the lyric to 'We're going to Bonnie Doon' in it.

The Nats have slowed the speed down. They'll pretend to spend oodles of dosh to rack up the speed to what it was and say hey we've delived on our election promise of faster broad band and every one will believe them, that is excepts the IT crowd who will be whisked away in the paddy wagon by the SIS
for posting up on the net an alternative opinion.

Rodney to be different will blame sunspots for the slower speed and will be placed in the loop with this continual message.

So I isolated the router - ie unplugged the fax machine that shares the dsl line and rebooted it for the 4th time.

    Back to normal speeds.

You iHug -> Yodafone too? Have you noticed a considerably flakier connection since they cut the old iHug plans and put everybody on Vodafone proper?

Yes - but no flakier connections really.

I have bad attenuation on the line anyway, it just keeps the red bar ahead of the playback on a you tube vid - but that is all that matters currently ;-)

But sometimes it is the ISP. Nice to be able to verify other users are not experiencing difficulty before ripping into the plumbing.

Domainz was flakey for a few hours yesterday by co-incidence.

I'm in an old copper part of the network equidistant from 2 exchanges. I noted those wireless data rates for future reference. Ain't broke enough to fix currently.

A name change wont make any difference to the hardware, will it?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Mentioning things flakey and Christmas-e and knowing there will be plenty of Christmas cheer flowing
... and not really intending to hijack a legit thread

    BUT

Does anyone remember a christmas song (dittie) by "Norn of the North" called. "A Cow Cockys Christmas"
Been a few years since I heard it, but would love to get my hands on a copy
