A question to any cops here

When someone assaults people and drives around in a stolen car and breaks into houses and is already breaking bail for other offenses do you actually look for them or just hope he stays in the same spot for long enough when he gets 111 called on him for you to catch him? Or wait for the stolen car he is driving to roll right past you? This is a serious question... Do you actually look for people like this or wait for them to do something and then hope he waits for you to turn up afterwards? Once again not a dig I'm just curious

I've given up being pissed off at the cops. Yes its true it seems 5 mins through anywhere in auckland speeding on your bike you seem to get pulled up atleast onces yet this gets nothing. I just don't get it. Maybe it's because they are focussed on "bigger things" by their system or maybe with the other things they deal with, this may not seem so urgent. But waiting up untill 3am every morning with a big spanner waiting for your sisters psycho psmoking ex bf to turn up at the gate every night while everyone is bitting each others heads off over the stress is not my idea of a merry christmas. And its been more of less this way every this time of year.

When I had a $20,000 car stolen, I was sent a form by the police to fill out 3 months later. Not a dig, just an observation/experience.

Speeding/lack of warrant of fitness/registration, they're all over me like a fly on shit... That makes me the shit and them the fly.

Just to make this clear this isn't a thread to bag on cops for what ever reason. I just had a question to ask. That said, thanks for your reply's I just wanted to make sure any cops that view the thread don't think I'm trying to give them shit and don't reply

Waiting for the bagging to start here but I have to say something...

If you know of a person who is driving a stolen car, is breaking into houses AND who is on bail why the hell are you not reporting this dick to the Police? Everyday if that is what it takes to get some action. Seriously, why? I obviously dont have all the facts here, but reading between your lines you have a very serious personal safety issue happening in your family. It needs sorting, sooner rather than later. Police are not our enemy mate. They rely on our help to make our communities safe

As far as the HP go...

My spin, dont friggen speed in built up areas. Posted speed limits of 50/60/70 are there for a reason. You get pinged speeding in those areas then good job! Chuck the biggest book they can find at you!

Open road stuff, you speed you take your chances. That is a game for everyone playing.

Report this "situation" everyday, twice a day if needs be. Do it nicely, express your concerns, dont stop untill you are sure you and yours are safe.

    Take care eh!

Cops are cool buggers, stuffed if I'd like to their jobs at this time of the year, knocking on doors telling a family their loved one has just been killed by a drunk driver etc.

The only thing I don't like is the uniform - they need a NZ designer to improve it, some well fitted shirts & trou instead of those nylon looking outfits they have with the trousers pulled up to their nipples.

Something a bit more argo and hard looking as well - maybe a bit more Matrix. Yeah something to demand respect - you know when they get out of their vehicle and walk towards you you'll think 'oh shit' and suck in it.

Merry Christmas to all KB cops.

Hey mom he's been reported by us every thing he does. We've been calling the cops every day atleast once, yesterday and today for example about 3 times to every one around this side of auckland to try and get their attention. And we have been doing our best to get noticed and be polite at the same time but so far all we seem to be able to do is make sure they are ready to deal with him as soon as they get the call and make sure they know what they're dealing with. He's already been reported so many times for all this stuff from us which is why I can't understand if its just that there are no cops assigned to this stuff, they aren't allowed to do much untill he actually gets someone with the screwdriver this time or what.

Can I just say from my latest experience that the police probably know what is going on and are just waiting for the opportunity to act.

It may take more than 3 phone calls as they need to be absolutely sure before taking action. Surely that is fair enough? Our police are really stretched at this time of year but be persistant as every call is logged.

The police have certainly come through for me this week after 2 months of hell and persistancy.

I just assume that after all he's done that is enough to have atleast one cop proactively looking for him. To arrest on all he's done.

Hell yeah.... all good cops go for these ones, but you need to remember its like looking for a moving needle in a hay stack of needles on a conveyorbelt.

You can't find em' unless you have information that point you to them. Crystal balls are not part of police car equipment.

Many a wanted crim came a cropper via copper by being dumb..... i.e. drawing attention to oneself by either or all of the following....

    Looking dodgy
Driving a KNOWN TO BE STOLEN car
    Speeding
    Not wearing a seatbelt
    Riding a Honda
Breaking basically any road rule that draws attention, gets you pulled over and run through the system.
    BUSTED.

Try sitting in a court for an afternoon.

I did it the other day in Auckland.

The police nick these vermin.. and they get bailed. To reoffend.. even if they're on bail and they reoffend.. the police bring them back into court.. and they get bailed again. WTF is the point of the police arresting them?

These are people whose whole life revolves around criminal activity. Not just the odd red light jumped.. but their WHOLE LIFE. And they get sent back into the community.
