Hi Guys, looking for some ideas on a really good front brake pad products for racing, I have four pot brembos braided brake lines etc, but need a better pad, I have currently got some premiers but I seem to ripping them apart they arent holding up well, I want the best brake performance for Wanganui (which is all about braking)

So what you using and why ?

    Any ideas

I’ve been using Ferodo Sintered street pads ‘cos I get them cheap and they don’t import the race pads for my bike. Having said that they’ve never faded on me and last ages. A bit more bite would be nice with the CBRs weak lever feel though. The Ferodo XR race pads are apparently the shiz if you can get them for your bike.

Vesrah’s high end pads are apparently the best there is.

I’m not sure what availability will be like if you’ve got some aftermarket brembo calliper and disc?? But if it is, calling Eurobike (don’t have a number, google it) to get some idea on what will fit it might be a good idea.

The ones with wings seem to work well.

I use the SBS carbon pads as well. Good stuff! Just read the instructions on how to use them properly.

    +1 on SBS Dual Carbon.
Best there is with Cast Iron discs and good with steel also.
One advantage is that they do not wear out the discs as sintered pads can.

Have to agree on the EBC's (Ha...and me and Rocktfsh don't agree on much ) with the SBS Dual Carbon a close second. As someone else said if you have cast iron discs then the latter may have the edge.
Both should be readily available in Hamilton as the importers for both products are based there.
