    I need a new battery

    Hi there, can anyone recommend a battery my project bike. It is a 1983 Honda CB900F2 the oem battery is a YB14L-A2 there are some on Trademe for $65.

    If it is going to be less than one you can buy in the local shop of the same type then its a deal but factor in its dry, so you need electrolyte, its $10 postages/freight, and if you dont have a trickle charger you need to buy one, how ever the last is not a bad thing to have around.

    Ring around your local shops you might be pleasantly surprised.
    Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

    I bought the same for my old gsx750 about 2yrs ago,from an auto sparky for $80.00 ready to go,i.e filled and charged.

    Some Repco stores stock them also. Or at least they used to.

    I have new CTX14-BS BESKO battery filled and charged if you can fit on your bike, it's no good for R1 (to big)-40$.

    The Yumicron battery you need for the bike is the one you stated,
    (good battery type), but if you want a High Performance, Maintanance free type, the correct equivalant is the YTX14AHL-BS.
