Heat wave in Riviera of the South

Just home from work, took the 'lorry' ('55 F100 hot-rod with big-block) and when I got into it at work the engine temp-guage on the 93degrees F. (F100 had been sitting for 9 hours+)

Got home and it was 31.7degrees C.

How hot is it where you guys live (at this time)

Fluctuating between 32 and 33 degrees in the Otago University area where I was working - and over 60 degrees in the roof cavity I had to check out (a heat sensor had activated). I didn't envy the Fire Service guys going in there before me with full gear on...

A relatively chilly 27.4° in Upper Hutt while I was polishing the bike.

    Still 26° ATM though...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Met office says mid 20's in CHCH. My armpits say it's hotter, don't even ask about my undies......

It's hot enough to be tired and grumpy, I'm pretty sure my kids will attest to this.......

It amazes me that they an continue to ask the same question over and over - in this case 'when will we go swimming?' all this while I remove the crap out of my sons bedroom so I can start to paint it!

They have got a 'after tea' out of me so far - so I'm doomed

A cool off will be nice.

Overcast 22 ATM in Dorkland. Kinda jealous about the Riviera but will probably get over it by July.

And the site now also has alternate style sheets for your IE6+ and non IE browsing pleasure.

Would you like my dissertation on hiding the IE peekaboo effect in cascading style sheets?
