    Wear sunscreen!

Right folks, as the title reads.... WEAR SUNSCREEN!!
As I'm sitting in front of this puter, I'm feeling bloody sorry for myself... I'm missing a reasonably large section of the top of my foot. There is not much spare skin on the top of your foot, so my good old surgeon had to stretch the skin quite a bit to stitch it up. And it hurts like a bastard
Now, if I had put sunscreen on the tops of my feet a bit more whilst wearing jandals all the time in summer, like I do, I probably wouldn't have fuggin skin cancer. Take it from a slow learner folks..... WEAR SUNSCREEN

Poor bugger. Yes, sunscreen is a must, pity of it is we never knew that when we were young and foolish, shit I used to lather myself in oil and lay out in the sun frying my skincells off!

    Take care eh?

I'm unfortunately blessed with 100% celtic blood (so genetically engineered to live somewhere colder than a frog's tit)
Over the last 10 or so years I've had numerous carcinomas hacked off... but this one on my foot is the worst by far. I've got to go back early next year and have more hacked out beside the present site
Great, I've got a few days sick leave... and I can't get my fuggin motorcycle boots on

So, at the Dec 16 Manfeild trackday, when you see a spectator that looks like he had more fun at the last funeral he went to.... it will be yours truly

Anne wants me to go back and get some more looked at but I aint so keen...Guess I should, it unpleasent but if they need to go, they need to go.

    Mom is right, Maha!!
About 8 years ago I had three cut off my back... right in the place where you can't reach either from over the shoulder or up the back. They didn't hurt that much, but man they ITCHED LIKE A BASTARD when they were healing!
I got lots of strange looks from my loader driver as I was using the aeroplane's control lock to scratch my back as he was loading the plane

    Please do...

Wear sunscreen, cover up and get anything suspicious checked out. Three months ago my husband had a mole removed and we have now found out that it is a malignant melanoma and is already in his lymphatic system and he now faces more nasty surgery. It's a f*&king nightmare We've learnt so much about melanoma in the last few months and if we were more aware of this before we would have been so much more vigilant rather than being so blase about it.....

    Thanks Guys....

And sorry to hijak your thread pussy, but it is just something that you think that will never happen to you but once it has taken hold, there is not a great deal that can be done about it..... Hopefully Trent's has been caught quick enough to stop it spreading more but we will never know until if / when it comes back again....

Re celtic skin... The radiologist that he saw at the nuclear medicine department was from Aberdeen and she said she was lucky to see two cases of melanoma a year when she worked up there....
