Some dude snared a 17kg snapper off petone wharf last week - not too shabby!

You should come kayak fishing - much fun (on the right day)

Hopefully We will be moving down to Wellington next month..... Use to love fishing of the wellington jetty and the plimmerton jetty also under the railway bridge there.
Use to catch lots of fish around there.
Ahhh those were the days as kids.

We bought an Espri fishing kayak during the Xmas holidays. Have been out from Petone beach and off Eastbourne (where the water pipe comes out).

I had a bit of a paddle off Petone beach the other day and it handles really well. Bit too close to the sharks for my liking though so I tend to man? the end of the longline we made up while Jeff paddles off into the distance.

Must be some horrible disease this fishing stuff, because Jeff is as bad as you!

We just have to work out how to tow it behind the Transalp now!

God it's addictive...

We went out the other night and some dude had this massive snapper off Raumati Sth... ARGH! 15kg....... Gawd - it looked half bison..

We should organise a group hunt one weekend ;-) I'm NOT giving up this season until I have a god damn snapper....
